Those Three Words… New York City

“A hundred times have I thought New York is a catastrophe, and fifty times: It is a beautiful catastrophe” — Le Corbusier

I’m just coming back from three days in California. There were beaches, palm trees, a convertible, room to move around, almost no concrete… it was glorious. But it wasn’t New York.  And isn’t that the real pisser of this city? God, I hate it so much sometimes. The rudeness, stupidity and self-centeredness of all the people wandering around. I go from zero to rage in about 10 seconds during rush hour. The trains are late, everything is overpriced, and there will never be enough square footage for all my shoes, clothing and accessories. But then I leave NYC and all of a sudden, all I want to do is get back. I guess that’s the beauty of it too.

And with that, I’m off to do what any true New Yorker does on a Sunday morning… brunch. Because it’s feeling like a day to fall back in love with NYC.

And while I’m all about the concrete jungle, there were some pretty moments while I was away. Here are a few pics from Cali:
